To P.P. Guru Dada — humble greetings from both of us and the children.
We learned that your health was not well, that you and Mrs. Mami had operations, and therefore you could not be present at our son Devendra's wedding — we received the letter you yourself sent to us about this. Not only that — on hearing the prayer you made before the Lord that the married life of our son Devendra and Mrs. Pallavi (daughter-in-law) should be of dharma-conduct — the hearts of both of us were filled, and the tears of joy in our eyes could not be contained. Dada! "A person should live with affection" — this you have time and again convinced us through action and devotion. Truly blessed are you. You alone know how to bear all this spread. To say "the Lord is always behind you" is less — the divine principle, the Supreme principle, is filled in every fiber of your body. This is that very Lord; this is that universally-revered Guru.
You did not become a universally-revered Guru — you are originally, by birth, a universally-revered Guru. Society, the world, took time to be convinced.
You have been born only to give and receive love from all moving and unmoving — this is ever expressed through your action of utmost love for all moving and unmoving.
"Save and let save" — this ideal is convinced through your deep study, through your active, dynamic life.
On Saturday 27 July 1985, you came to our home, embraced me tightly, ran (your) hand on my back, patting (me); whatever assurance you gave me — that "Phadke, you are mine" — both your and my hearts filled and filled. The blessing you expressed in it was not merely sugar in milk — it was Panchamrita itself. Just amrita itself is hard to obtain — but you gave Panchamrita not only to me alone but to all. What vastness of your heart!
How shall I sing the greatness of vastness in your heart? The whole universe you have pervaded! When you are all-pervading, how shall I remain aside? How shall duality dwell? Only non-duality shall dwell. When non-duality (is), how shall I describe (you) independently?
In your meeting, the demonstration of the Soul-Supreme principle comes — this is the sign of being the witness.
You are the fully blissful one. You yourself are Sat-Chit-Anand.
Dada! How can I say Guru-Purnima has come near? You meet me daily in mental worship; you give the joy of Purnima. You sit on the swing; I am at your feet. How much joy is obtained in this daily mental worship — shall I tell? You are all-knowing.
In this very letter, humble greetings to A.Sau. Mami; greetings to the family.
